2016: A Year In Review

2016 has been a phenomenal year for Zephyr, full of exponential growth, product enhancements and new partnerships.

We are proud that so many teams across the globe are utilizing our products to support their software quality initiatives. We want to thank our customers, partners for helping is in making 2016 a huge success! As the global leading provider of real time test-management for agile, DevOps, mobile, and social teams we would like to recap some of our shared accomplishments.   

10,000 Customers Worldwide- Earlier this year, we hit our 7000 customer mark in in January. At the Atlassian Summit in October, we were proud to announce that we soared past our 10,000 customer milestone! Our customer base spans over 100 countries, with more than one million users utilizing our products to simplify software testing, drive down costs and release higher quality software.

FrontierCapital Invests $31 Million in Zephyr- Frontier Capital, a Charlotte-based equity firm that focuses exclusively on software technology-enabled business services, has invested $31 million in Zephyr this past year. This investment has accelerated Zephyr’s impressive momentum and demonstrates Frontier’s commitment to achieving exceptional growth and high gross margins.

Scott Johnson Named Chief Executive Officer- Bringing nearly two decades of sales and marketing executive management experience to Zephyr, Scott Johnson was named Chief Executive Officer. We are excited and fortunate to welcome Scott to Zephyr’s executive leadership team and look forward to his strategic direction and oversight to accelerate Zephyr’s growth.

Management Team Expansion- This year we were very proud to announce several key hires to our executive management team. We welcomed the additions of Ron Gupta, Senior Vice President Global Sales; Hamesh Chawla, Vice President of Engineering; and Sterling J. McCullough, Vice President of Alliances. We were also very excited to announce Robb Ellis as Chief Financial Officer.  The four appointments will add more than 50 years of experience to Zephyr’s management team.

New Enterprise Software Architecture- Zephyr launched a new architecture of Zephyr Enterprise, to deliver power, performance and scale for enterprise teams with hundreds to thousands of concurrent users.This exciting new release combines agile functionality with enterprise-class security, performance and scalability.

New Partnerships- In 2016, Zephyr was very proud to welcome two new additions to our family of partners. We first welcomed BDQ, a leading Atlassian Expert in the UK. Then at the Agile2016 conference, we welcomed AgileTrailblazers, a leading provider of continuous business value delivery.  Our partnerships enable effortless deployment and seamless support for Zephyr products.
