SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 3, 2013 – Atlassian Summit – Yesterday on the first day of the Atlassian Summit, Zephyr, the leading provider of real-time test management solutions announced the release of Zephyr for JIRA 2.0 and a brand new product ZAPI 1.0. Today, at the Atlassian Summit only, Zephyr is giving conference attendees a sneak peak of Zephyr Blueprints for Confluence which will be available on the Atlassian Marketplace later this month. Zephyr Blueprints for Confluence gives customers customizable test management templates with embedded real-time quality metrics inside their favorite wiki. With the newly announced ZAPI and the upcoming release of Zephyr Blueprints for Confluence, Zephyr will offer five products on the Atlassian Marketplace.
The Atlassian Marketplace is a platform for Atlassian customers to discover, try, buy, and manage add-ons for their applications. Additionally, it offers third-party vendors the ability to market, distribute, and license their add-ons to Atlassian’s customer base. Atlassian is different from most companies when it comes to how they sell software. The goal is to build incredible, affordable software that people can try before buying.
The benefits of the Atlassian Marketplace include:
“We’re focused on giving project teams the ability to manage testing, no matter where, how and when it’s done. Our products are used by project teams of all sizes, across every time zone, using various methodologies, at different maturity levels, and for a wide range of software,” said Samir Shah, CEO of Zephyr. “With our tightly integrated products, we are seeing more and more enterprise upgrade from their legacy tool sets to Atlassian and Zephyr to drive the development and releases of their software.”
Zephyr products include:
Zephyr Enterprise is a real-time test management platform that manages all aspects associated with software quality; integrates various test tools and systems, offers global access, fosters collaboration and provides management visibility. This product is best suited for departments and enterprises that run multiple projects in parallel with very structured testing cycles, and a lot of automated and/or manual testing. With the Zephyr Enterprise Connector, which is preinstalled on JIRA OnDemand, this product offers the best-in-class integration with both JIRA Download and OnDemand.
Zephyr for JIRA
As the top selling testing JIRA Add-on for the past 18 months, Zephyr for JIRA is a native add-on built exclusively for the JIRA 5 and 6 platforms. The Add-on completes end-to-end project management in JIRA by adding testing to the overall planning, development, bug tracking and reporting process.
ZAPI is a Zephyr for JIRA Add-on that allows access to Zephyr’s testing data including the ability to view and upload data programmatically. The Add-on allows access to Zephyr for JIRA via REST APIs to read-write testing related data. This can be used to query test cycles, fetch tests and test cycles, update test results, create new tests as well as integrate to automation and continuous integration tools.
Zephyr Blueprints for Confluence
Zephyr Blueprints for Confluence are customizable test management templates with embedded real-time quality metrics, creating a whole new way of test collaboration. They allow project teams to tie in a variety of unstructured and structured testing info into Confluence and build compelling dashboards and reports while greatly enhancing the collaboration between team members.
“Many software teams using JIRA need a top notch test management solution, and Zephyr delivers. Zephyr’s high quality, commitment to our marketplace, and dedication to frequent releases contribute greatly to their success in the Marketplace,” said Nick Wade, Group Manager of Atlassian Marketplace. “And with over 1,500 customers who have purchased Zephyr products through the Marketplace, we know that Zephyr will continue to deliver great Add-ons, for all Atlassian customers.”
